Creativity in schools

Sir Ken Robinson is a guru of creativity and education, as well as one of the most entertaining and infectious speakers in the world: never go onto a stage after him unless it is to sweep up. He also gives very enjoyable parties. And he has just written a new book, The Element, the latest part of his campaign to unleash everybody’s creative potential — the potential that school so often undermines. He’s a passionate advocate of a more personalised, curiosity-driven education system, as he explains in this interview, and his TED talk, posted above, is well worth a watch.

PS. There’s now a TED application for iPhone, which makes it harder than ever to know if your mobile is killing your brain or making it better.
