Kazuo Ishiguro interview

Ishiguro is one of Britain’s most successful but enigmatic writers. From The Remains of the Day to Never Let Me Go his work is beautiful but mysterious, a kind of literary archeology in which his characters and their emotions remain half-buried, wary of giving up their secrets. As his latest book Nocturnes is published, here is a new Guardian interview, and an earlier conversation about Never Let Me Go, which just began filming with Keira Knightley, Andrew Garfield and the brilliant Carey Mulligan.
